Snapshots from Girls' Camp

Plan B (see what Plan A was like in yesterday's post) took us camping near Strawberry Reservoir, which also happened to get smokey and ashy while we were there. The danger wasn't as great in our particular location, though, so we stuck it out for the rest of the week.












Highlights of the week included a trail-blazing hike (led by yours truly...where's my lucky machete when I need it?), a marshmallow fight, crafts and facials, too much food, daily flag ceremonies and devotionals and enough giggles to last for weeks. I sure do love those crazy girls! They make me happy every time I see them. It was so nice to get away from everything and refocus. What a refreshing week!

    Oh my gosh!! I love these photos! So beautiful! I can't believe you were in the middle of all that mess with the fire! Oh the rumors I've heard about Camp Shalom burning to the ground and such;) Glad you were all safe and got to enjoy a real camping adventure--free from the wildfire:)
